Thank god its F-Thursday

Got tomorrow off cos I felt like it.

Well actualy gonna go get my hair cut as a: it needs it and b: got the hockey end of season dinner/dance on Saturday evening (get the glad rags out!)

Before that I'm playing county hockey for the first time in about 10 years on Saturday morning/afternoon.
A few of us have decided to rock up and show some silky skills all in the name of Oxfordshire ;-)

Got myself a new pair of astro's (hockey shoe's for those not in the know) cos I've gotta get some inserts made to go in them to help my feet and knee's.
Getting these means I am atleast playing next season hopefuly for the 2nd's as I really don't want the traveling that comes with going National League.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt!!!


















Size 7!! (bloody boats!)

My last lot were a size 6 and they were to small according to the foot bloke who did an assement on the way I run and what my feet do. (the main reason for my permanently bruised toe!)

Anyway, they're the ones I wanted, cost £52 and I probably could've got them online a bit cheaper but by the time I added in postage it would've worked out roughly the same and atleast I don't have to wait for them to be delivered.
They're also alot lighter than my previous ones so maybe I'll run faster! ;-)


















As you can see the old ones are just about buggered! ;-)

All thats left now is to get a new stick as the one I brought at the start of last season is just about chuggered!
It's all spend spend spend with this hockey malarky!


I've been working out the days til the new Star Wars book and it seems I'll be away when it's released! BUGGER!!!

Spent the weekend watching cars go very fast in a straight line at Santa Pod Race Way.

There will be a film shortly but to cut a long story short...

John did 12.80secs for the 1/4 mile and there was an MR2 there that did 10.9secs, the first MR2 in the UK to get into the 10's

Erase Myself

After 3 pints and alot of arseing about I've got a background that I'm happy with for now!

So anyway......been to the pub and now I feel its time for a rant about nothing in particular although my chosen subject is a certain Roxette forum that I haven't posted on for a very long time due to various reasons.

Ok....this is trivial BUT! I just happen to go into the Off Topic part of said forum and see a topic that says.....'New Darren Hayes'.

Now you would think this isn't much of a subject to rant about BUT......if you went on the Cabbage Garden or Darren Hayes forum I bet you wouldn't see a subject saying 'New Per Gessle' (or new Roxette for that matter)

Who gives a flying f*** ?

I personaly hate the fact that just cos I like(d) Roxette I automaticaly like(d) Savage Garden and would therefore care about their respective solo projects.

And also...... **WARNING! another rant coming**

It's got so bad Rox-related news wise lately appart from maybe a new offering from Per (if its like that Plumber shite then *yawn*) that it seems web sites feel the need to report about re-re-re-releases that happen to be on cd without a bonus track for the first time ever.

Holy shit Batman!

Why have I become so anti Roxette? or is it just the general Roxette/related scene?

I didn't really like 'One Wish' and I simply hated 'Reveal' infact more than ever I find myself playing 'Listen To Your Heart' or 'Joyride' simply cos thats when they were great and I need to remind myself of that fact.

I think I know what sparked this anti Rox rant...... I came home and put on a couple of the remixes that were floating about in the charts last year (or the year before) by DHT & Dancing DJ's

What a load of fucking shite, is this what Roxette have come to!?!

Well I guesse more money for Per, god knows he's had anough of mine over the years, but atleast I used to buy some good music.

PER STOP PLUMBING FOR GOD SAKE!!!! Have you been power popped out or something??

I guesse I just always thought that no matter what music came and went I'd always be a Rox/related fan no matter what they threw out at me.

Changed the background again but it all went tits up so will have to sort it out later when I get home from work.

How long this will last I don't know, its a picture my mum took the other morning using my camera, only she didn't know what she was doing and ended up with it in some setting and they all came out in eerie colours.

Still..... looks ok for now.

It's always a bad idea to surf onto sites of bands you like when you're supposed to be saving for a holiday!

I can't justify going to the Download festival so I'm now going to try and get tickets to see Linkin Park at London Astoria on 3rd May!

Me mum has already brought tickets to see Aerosmith at the end of June so thats another tick on my list of 'bands I must see'
Metallica are playing at Wembley Stadium in July so if theres spare cash floating about thats another must, not so much cos its Metallica but mainly cos its the new Wembley ;-)

Bloody hell!

Well over a week since I posted last!

Been busy doing nothing much, had a nice but busy Easter break.

Started last Wednesday evening after work in the pub for a few pints.

Thursday was spent shopping/seeing foot specialist about getting some inserts for various shoes and trainers.
Was quiet an eye opener, he did some video's of me running on a treadmill and has given me a programme of stuff to do and will make some inserts for my hockey shoes when I buy a new pair.
It would appear all these years of thinking I'm a size 5-5.5 I'm actualy a size 6-6.5

Anyway after that we went to Bicester Village which is an outlet shopping place and I went and spent all my birthday money in the Puma shop!


















These are a size 6.5!! Funny how they feel really comfy! ;-)

Anyway after the excitment of spending all my birthday cash we popped into Pete's to see his new puppy (see previous post) She is a babe!!!! :-)

Friday (and Saturday but thats another story for in a minute) was spent doing the clutch on John's Supra.
I was promoted from 'spanner moneky' to 'go-fer', I basicaly did not much else but read the paper all day cos he had 2 helpers!
I felt a bit thick cos I wasn't even able to attempt the Daily Express crossword nor the Suduku (or however you spell it)
I did redeem myself by getting serveral questions correct on the sports quiz!
So come 7pm he started the car up only to find that it wouldn't go in gear!
Packed the car away in his mates garage and headed to a pub cos by then everyone had had enough of bloody sports cars and needed a pint!

Saturday, I got a slight demotion to 'spanner monkey/go-fer' (which meant that I actualy had to get my hands diat one point!)





<--- The pit was only 3ft deep, John is 6ft+ tall...... go figure! ;-)










With the clutch plate in the CORRECT! way round we headed off to the pub for a pint and some lunch.

Sunday, only shop open was Halfords so went and brought car cleaning stuff and then spent the next 5 hours cleaning my MR2 which now looks sparkly!!! (well it did until next door had a bonfire last night and now its covered in bloody ash!!!)
Sunday evening we went out to a pub (can you see a theme developing here?) and had a few pints.

Monday was spent shopping for stuff to wear on our cruise that we're going on at the end of May, I surprisingly found nothing!

Tuesday.....back to work.

So what are we now....Thursday....I'm off to a pub in a bit and then gonna watch Spurs on the telly.

Anyway, haven't posted in a while mainly cos I can't be arsed!

So I've turned 31 and ended up with hangover (no surprise there then!)

I've got a new flatscreen monitor for my PC, its great but the main problem now is I'm going to have to re-do my blog cos it looks tiny within this screen ;-)

When I can be arsed to spend some time working on a new background I'll change it.
