Heat, exercise, stretch, massage, ice.......repeat.

Thats the story of my shoulder thats taking too long to get better.

I'm not the patient type (I wouldn't make a very good Jedi!)

Went training this evening with the intention of not doing alot, which is exactly what I did.....not alot, still tried out some of the new kit mainly the new BaseLayer long sleeved shirt which is nice and toastie.

Off to White Hart Lane tomorrow night to see the Spurs play, play what is anyones guesse at the moment, to say I'm not happy with things that have happened regarding Spurs would be an understatement.

As for now, I'm off to play Star Wars Galaxies but only for 10 mins cos the motion of the graphics makes me feel ill.

Oh and I got a couple of My Chemical Romance tix from ticketmaster today, given up on the Foo Fighters :-(

Cold has gone mostly, shoulder is still buggered.

Want to get back playing and training even if (like this evening) its fricking cold outside.

Obviously the cat hates it so she will hide under my bed as thats her preffered choice of venues for this time of year.

Weekend Is Looming

So here I am sat stuffed full of cold.

I haven't had a proper cold in about 3 years, runny nose doesn't count cos its like it all the time.

The problem when I get a cold is that its a head cold and so I sit for days on end not being able to hear a fucking thing like right now.
Decongestants don't generally work and seeing as I hate taking tablets anyway I will be staying clear of them and just use my Olbas Oil inhaler and some menthol crystals (these blow ure head off! try them next time ure bunged up)
Hopefuly by then end of the weekend I will be able to hear again without having to listen to what can only be described as whale music in my ears. (I blow my nose and there they are....2 of them singing away in my head)

Gotta get my arse into gear cos gotta catch the bus to work, shouldn't be going to work really but got too much to do not to go in.

I hate rain, more's to the point I hate umbrellas.

To vertically challenged people like myself (ie: short) umbrellas are fucking lethal!

As I fought my way thru town this evening to get the tossing awful bus home I've had to dodge knob heads with umbrellas who just forget or don't give a shit that they have a spiked menace in their hands.
I've nearly had my bloody eyes poked out or face ripped off by the bloody things.

So yes I hate the rain!

Shoulder Impingement

Impingement is one of the most common causes of pain in the adult shoulder. It results from pressure on the rotator cuff from part of the shoulder blade (scapula) as the arm is lifted.

The rotator cuff is a tendon linking four muscles: the supraspinatus, the infraspinatus, the subscapularis, and the teres minor. These muscles cover the "ball" of the shoulder (head of the humerus). The muscles work together to lift and rotate the shoulder.

The acromion is the front edge of the shoulder blade. It sits over and in front of the humeral head. As the arm is lifted, the acromion rubs, or "impinges" on, the surface of the rotator cuff. This causes pain and limits movement.

So my shoulder is impinged ;-) one of the strangest injuries I've ever had, got a shoulder strap on the way to help things along and its amazing how useful frozen peas can be when needed.

I had to sit it out due to my shoulder injury which is just a complete arse!!!!

I hate watching and not being able to do anything about it.

I just wish I was clever enough and had the patience to make one myself.

Bloody shoulder aches, I keep forgetting its bad cos it only hurts in one place now so when I do something to hurt it I then spend the next hour regretting doing what I did.

Physio tomorrow but for now I have beer.

Oh forgot to mention, I brought a new TV.

My old one that was given to me years ago by my uncle decided to start turning off and on in the middle of really important things like goals in football, wickets or runs in cricket, trys in rugby and tyre blow outs in Grand Prixs so I've passed it onto to someone who hasn't got a tv but can get it fixed.

Yesterday I brought a 32" LCD Toshiba, tis loverly!

I would take a picture but I've lent my camera to my mate who's gone on a cruise for the week.
