Colour Changing

Exscuse me for a bit while I mess with colours in this blog.

Does anyone know how to make translucent images that can sit over the top of other images>

Paint Shop Pro won't do it which is an arse!

And Not Very Sensible

Watching the people get lairy
It's not very pretty I tell thee
Walking thru town is quite scary
And not very sensible either....

Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot

I brought Christmas cards today!, well actualy me and my mate brought some between us cos it was 3 for 2 in Smiths so I've gotta go collect my half at some point.
That's one tick on the 'things to do before christmas' list ;-)

Now if I could only figure out what presents to get I'd be sorted!

Got the cat sorted out, I can just get her some of them Whiska's treat things that she likes and she'll love me forever, so easily pleased LOL ;-)

He glanced down towards Alema. "Did you give her the chance to surrender?"
Jaina nodded. "She said no. Rudely."

I like this background, no dots!

Ok so the book covers might do your eyes in if you stare at the too long but all I can say is.......don't stare at them too long

;-)

Random book moment:

"I remember everything, Except where we are."
"Endor. You were unconscious when we got here."
"Ah. And Zekk?"
"Better. He was kind of a mess coming out of the asteroid. He took the same amount of damage you did....but emotional not physical"
"Too bad. Physical scars are much better conversation starters at parties"

Revelations

Fury is finished!

Mainly because I've spent today at home in bed feeling rather shit!

I won't go into gorey details but I didn't have much sleep last night and felt rough as this morning so spent the day in bed.

Anyways.....the book....brilliant! one of the best yet in the series and we only have 2 left to go!

The excerpt from the next book also makes it sound class!!

Looks like Jaina will be kicking some serious arse as she goes and seeks out Boba Fett my favourite bounty hunter.

Can't wait til next February now! :-)

The dots are gone but I think I fucked up other things so you may have to bear with me while I sort out the background LOL

Dots

Theres still some dots floating around this blog!

I will at some point kill them all off!

Dots

So I got rid of some of teh shitty dots but I've still got to get rid of teh others

Lesson One: Don't Grab The Glowy End

This still makes me laugh, infact I've chuckled all day!

I was about to go read some more of my book in the comfort of a nice hot bath only to discover that 10mins before I got home my bro has used up all the hot water!

So I'm sat here having a Status Quo moment on winamp waiting for the water to heat up again so I can get the biggest bubble bath ever and read some more.
It's all just got very interesting indeed!

Anyway, I'm so bored of this back ground! I would make my own but I never know quite how to make a 'one size fits all' monitor friendly background and to be honest I dunno what I want either, something dark and easy on the reading eyes is always good but what........I dunno.
I would also have gone to wordpress but the whole creating a database on my webspace seems to be a very big royal pain in the arse so I gave up on that also.

Ho hum, watch this space it maye change or it may not.

Just remember kids.....don't grab the glowy end. ;-)

<--- Jag Fel! a very funny guy ;-)

Oh god now thats sad! he's a fictional character for god sakes!

Chapter Thirteen.....

Started my book yesterday morning, well technically I only read one chapter yesterday but I'm up to 13 now.

It's bloody midnight!!!!

I've put it down now otherwise I will have finished it before the morning.

Just had the funniest moment so far........

Jaina gave him a scornful look. " Jag, do you even know how to use a lightsaber?"
"I know Lesson One. Don't grab the glowy end"

Now I know its just me but I've just spent the last 2omins in stiches cos of that line and I will probably continue to laugh for the rest of the night (or whats left of it).

Oh Son Your Missus Is A Nutter

My arm has officialy fallen off after phsyio this morning, hurts like buggery!

On a brighter note...... my new Star Wars book has shown up from the place that I thought was dodgy that I didn't think I could cancel that I now no longer have to cancel cos its turned up!

;-)

Needless to say just re-cancelled the Amazon order.

Status Quo were class as always last night and they played "In The Army Now" they haven't done that one in ages I was well chuffed ;-)
Will post crap pictures from my phone when I get a chance but right now I'm in a rush to have dinner and then get going to Southampton for the weekend.

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Yes, I'm Mental....

Cancelled my order for 'Star Wars Legacy #7 Fury' with booksamillion, ordered it with some other online place that says they have 50 in stock, paid by PayPal.

No sign of it arriving before the weekend .......

Re-ordered with Amazon, dispatch date says 26th November, no idea how to cancel the other order I placed with PayPal as it was some weird site so will probably end up with 2 copies but hey theres always eBay!

Yes I'm mad, but I need this book to relieve myself from internet boredom even if it is just for a day or 2! ;-)

Won't be long before they start all the crap Christmas music on the Sky music channels. ;-)

Even madder....... I downloaded a load of Spice Girls trax just for a laugh ;-)

Current PlayList:

Rock Star - Nickelback
Pretender - Foo Fighters
Who Do You Think You Are - Spice Girls
Sandstorm - Darude
Stupify - Disturbed
Stop - Spice Girls

I must go to bed now cos my fingers have started hurting after spending almost 5 hours on the net ;-)

Sandstorm

So England lost, I watched the first 7mins, saw Scott Carson let in a goal that was comical and just had to laugh.

I used to get all emotional if England lost in big games but seriously whats the point these days!

**Football rant warning!**

Steve Mclaren said when he took over (these may not be his exact words but you get the gist) that he wouldn't be picking players on reputation.
So the first thing he did was completely dump David Beckham, now I know Becks had not been in his best for at the last 2 or 3 tournaments but lets face it who was good at the last World Cup FFS!!!
Anyway moving on......so not picking players on reputation.......why then continue to pick an clearly out of form Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Paul Robinson?
Being s Spurs fan I feel for Robbo! he hasn't had the best of seasons so far but when you're behind a defence as wobbly as Spurs you can't blame him completely and also the England defence changes like the weather!

Theres always been a thing about Steven Gerrard that I have never liked, he is not in my opinion a team player.
Why when scoring a goal for England would you point to your name on the back of your shirt as if you are fucking great, why when captain do you in a post match interveiw name a specific player that has made a mistake (yes he did it live on Sky after the Russia defeat, the very same game that he missed an open goal at 1-0 up!)

My point is Football is a team game and there are certain people in that team who do not play like it is, I am not of the "Sun Shines Out Of Stevie G's Arse" brigade!
Infact I think he and several others in that team need to take a good long hard look at themselves.

I'm not hurt, I'm just annoyed!

We got what we deserved, they are all a bunch of wankers......well apart from Beck's ;-)

**Football rant off**

Why worry LOL

I'm off to see Status Quo tomorrow evening, atleast that will be more entertaining that watching England die a slow death at Wembley.

What?

Now this......just made me laugh!

Needless to say my book hasn't even been shipped even though booksamillion said it would be 2-3 days so guesse what....
I've cancelled that and ordered it from somewhere else, its anoying because loads of people have it which makes complete nonsense of the release date.

Never Tell Me The Odds

So once again my impatience has got the better of me.

I had on order from Amazon the new Star Wars Legacy book 'Fury'

I just thought I'd go check to see if Booksamillion had it in stock, not only do they have it in stock they will ship the god damn book within 2-3 days.

Now.....its not out for another 12 atleast!

It was due top be shipped to me from Amazon somewhere around the 27th November.

So, cancelled with Amazon and ordered with Booksamillion, I wonder at what point this little manouver will bite me on the arse!

It's gonna cost slightly more doing it this way, about £3 more infact cos the shipping costs the same as the book but I thought it was time I stretched the NatWest Master Cards legs ( doesn't get much use).

Anyway, I haven't started Christmas shopping and I haven't brought any Christmas cards can you see where this little chain of events is leading? ;-)

New Tricks

Something I've learned recently.

If you want tickets to a gig that is sold out wait until a few days before the gig and buy them then!
Doesn't always work but I've seen recently with MCR and Foo Fighters that it can be done, tickets are either held back or returned to the vendor.

Don't pay tout prices to people on eBay! unless of course you're desperate. ;-)

Another trick is to ring the box office of the venue of the concert you want to go to on the morning of said concert and ask if they have tickets.
I know someone who got Kylie tickets this way, 2 rows from the front! and because it was from the box office they were face value.

Now, if I wasn't so skint I would have got Foo tix and I wouldn't have had to sell my MCR tix either, I've also managed to miss Linkin Park tix although they've since added another date.

I sit and relay this to you as I drink my morning coffee and have my Farleys Rusk's for breakfast, yes I'm 31 and I still like Rusk's!

Shit..... I'm going to be late leaving for work!

3AM Eternal

Yes, its 3am and I'm awake.

The reason for this I have no idea just had to get up and get some squash cos I was thirsty, and probably have no chance of going back to sleep right away so have decided to blog and sit and listen to Kerrang channel.

Linkin Park are on at the mo, I missed getting tickets for their January London show on Friday not that I have the cash to be buying tickets but was going to use Mr Credit Card.

They have added a new date at the O2 arena which seems to be the in place for people to play lately but its a Tuesday night and thats a training night right before the league retstarts assuming I am fit fot it!

The cat has decided its time to be awake also and is sat by my bed purring the plonker!

Turn My Back On This Shit Hole In The Blink Of An Eye

I have a Facebook account, sad but true.

Don't take much notice of the Quiz applications cos I'd be forever bogged down with that load of twaddle, but as I sit here bored this evening I thought I'd take part in an 80's kids tv quiz which then led to a Star Wars quiz!

I scored 85% in the 80's tv quiz and 100% top of the leader board for fastest time in Star Wars quiz.

I have no life!

Went to physio this evening, shoulder hurts now :-( gonna have to see my GP about getting an MRI scan on if its not improved within the next couple of weeks.

I Hail From The Flat Lands Of East Anglia

She had trekked for many moons from a land afar

I wonder where those poeple are that were in the video, do they cringe at the thought of looking like knobs? or do they still love Tiffany and can name all of her other hits, what date they were released and how many copies each song sold and in what country? ;-)

Bugger me!! she even has a website FFS!!!!! www.tiffany.org

Tedium

Shoulder is now beyond being funny, not that it was funny in the first place.

Felt pretty good at the start of the week so I've tried to do a bit like cycle to work and get back to normal, big mistake!
Feels like shit again, maybe I've over stretched it or something but places hurt where they didn't before.

It's tedious beyond belief! Can't play again this weekend missing yet another 2 games, been reading about shoulder injuries on the Internet and listening to what my physio has been telling me and it just seems that it could either heal quickly, take time or if you aren't careful bugger it up for the rest of your life!

So here I am on a Friday evening not looking forward to the game tomorrow cos I can't take any part in it :-( I hope the girlies get the win we deserve cos its been a while since we did that and to be honest we are most certainly not out of depth in this league we just need some luck!

Brought My Chemical Romance tickets at the start of the week, ended up yesterday putting them on eBay (haven't even got them yet) cos I really could do with getting the cambelt and clutch done on my car and John has offered to pay half if I can stump up the rest(it will be a near on £600 bill).
MCR can wait and so can going to France on a booze run cos basically we're not gonna be at home much over Christmas cos of going to Iceland so won't have time to drink anything anways (well.....not MUCH!) ;-)

Rumour has it that MCR will be on tour with Linkin Park next year sometime so maybe I can catch both of them at the same time.

So anyway I will go and wallow in my miserable state with a bottle of Tesco Sicilian Red.

Just a note for the TV diary..... Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back: ITV1 Sunday 4th Nov 4.25pm!!!

"There's no time to discuss this in a committee"
"I am not a committe!"

"Caption Solo, the chances of surviving and asteroid field are approximately 15million to one"
"Never tell me the odds"

"Do or do not, there is no try"

"Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father"
"He told me enough, he told me you killed him"
"No........ I am your father"

Just gotta love this film!!!!

I expect next week will be Return Of The Jedi and then I expect ITV will go thru the new films, its the 30th anniversary of Star Wars so why not! ;-)

New book out soon too! have it on pre-order from Amazon cos they will donate money to my hockey club if I shop online with them, probably only 0000.0001p but every little helps ;-)
