Clutching At Straws

I'm still trying to see how so many poeple are enjoying and that if you didn't enjoy it then you must be strange.

Here is why I disliked it.....

Some of the script (not all) was terrible (stay away Mr Lucas this isn't bloody Star Wars!)

Some of the acting (Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett the exceptions) was awful but then is that due to the script?

The chase in the jungle.......good for the first 10mins........not funny for the ext 10mins!

The ants! again.....funny for the first 5mins but not the next 5mins!

Ray Winstone......not funny what so ever!

I could go on..........


There were some fantastic one liners though.


And now I'm going to be late for my 8am physio appointment if I don't shift my arse!

Gutted

It's so bad I may have to cancel that 2nd booking for Sunday

I'll have finished it by the time it comes out here.

At 320 pages long I might even have finished it by tomorrow morning!

The Delays

Due to some nagging I'm finally going to see The Delays in Southampton on Saturday.

So seeing as I have only listened to one song of theirs I thought maybe I'd give the new album a try.

It's pretty good! :-)

Everythings The Rush

























I've come to the conclusion that when I listen to new music I don't give it enough time to grow on me.

I've had this experience with Fiction Plane, The Delays and even Def Leppards new album.

So the moral of this story is...... keep listening you'll either love or hate and either way you'll know all the lyrics and be good in pub quizes when obscure music questions come along.


Anyway, did you know that Carlsberg Export now comes in 1 Pint cans?! Excellent!


























Invincible has made it as far as Philadelphia in the US ;-) I think its currently on a plane coming here but I can't be sure as it doesn't quite say 'it's on a plane half way across the Atlantic'

Next weeks plans include a midweek "eatings cheating" drinking session with my friend from hockey and then going to see Indiana Jones - Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull atleast twice!

I dreamt that we were on our cruise, that I was sharing a cabin with Def Leppard and that I'd forgotten most of my clothes.

I'm not sure where all this bollox came from, it just got dragged up from the depths of my mind.

So now I shall be making a list just incase I forget stuff when we go away on 8th June.

'Suppose A Rocks Outta The Question?

**Warning, theres possibly alot of swearing to come!**

Just made it back from The Def leppard gig in London.

Made the mistake of driving up there, although the journey itself wasn't too bad the usual troll around lloking for the phantom car park meant that we didn't actualy get to the venue until just on 7pm (this is having left Oxford at 3.30 and at MacDonalds by Ikea at Wembley at 4.20!)

After several detours (Thanks SatNav you bastard!) we found a car park by St Pancreas train station and I nearly crashed the car into the barrier as I looked at the prices for parking but seeing as there was nowhere else to go we didn't have alot of choice.

We could've gone by coach but I wouldn't be writting this now as we'd still be on it probably trying to get out of London which seems to take an age for some reason.

So anyway, venue was small but then I expected it, what I didn't expect was the amount of cocks there would be about and there was a fair few of them.

Now I'm not blessed with height and I don't expect to see much if anything unless I've q'd for hours (been there, done that...theres only one band I'd still do it for and they will probably not make a record again let alone tour!)
What really fucking narks me is how inconsiderate other peoples are and its not just tall blokes its women aswell who either don't see you or think cos you're small you're going to move out of their way regardless.
I spent the entire gig being shoved in the back and then nearly headbutted by some fucking knob infront of me who was doing air guitar in a square centimeter of space. ( if he wasn't doing that he was taking a photograph of every fucking movement the band made, I'm all for concert photos but not for the whole gig GIVE IT A REST DICK HEAD! YOU'RE FUCKING ANNOYING!)

Concerts are just full of wankers these days!

Needless to say Leppard were fantastic as always Sav even managed to mess up 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' which was amusing to say the least, Mother enjoyed herself even though shes shorter than I am and saw some blokes shoulder blades all evening

Anyway I was pleasantly surpised when we got back to the car park to find it only costing £10, so no need to take out a bank loan to cover it ( crikey thats cheaper than parking in Oxford!) ;-)

Roll on June 26th Wembley concert, we're sat up out of the way of the fucking annoying dickheads on the floor, I just can't hack that anymore, its a personal space issue with me and fucking dickheads keep invading it!


And just to top off any rant that I appear to be having, anyone taking pix with a mobile phone or using flash on their cameras are all wankers! ( this includes me but theres a point to all this)

A Blogging Good Time

The power of music! (or possibly beer....you decide!)

I've just gone on eBay to get me a copy of 'Highlander' on dvd, all on the back of watching a Queen dvd that I got for Christmas 3 years ago but have never watched.

I had to watch the dvd cos my amplifier has died which is hooked up to my PC for sound to come out of my surround sound speakers.
The amplifier dying means no PC sound! so no music via winamp, so I started off watching Kerrang channel on sky and then have gone onto my Queen dvd and am now currenlty sat watching Def Leppard 'In The Round, In Your Face' dvd.

What next I wonder.....will I watch a Roxette dvd and feel the need to go and buy Pretty Woman or Super Mario Bros on dvd? ;-) (I hope not!)

I need to get out more! wheres summer?? I can get out in the garden on my laptop with wireless internet and drink beer outside instead!

My brother has finally made it to South Africa after delayed journey.
He was supposed to fly out on Wednesday night but I got a call to say his flight had been delayed and that Virgin were putting him up in a hotel over night.
That was nice of them but it meant he missed his connecting flight in Johannesburg that took him to Durban where he is staying with friends.

Thank god for wireless internet! he got on msn and we managed to find him another connectiong flight but that meant an overnight stay at Jo'burg airport so after looking around a bit he found a hotel too.

Gotta work out how to claim on the travel insurance when he gets back.

Got a text this morning to say that he had checked in for his flight to Durban so he's back on track all be it a day late! and he left his new hat on the plane! I told him to claim for that too ;-)

I worry about my little brother (he's 30 this year!) ;-)
